I currently have a stock (?) japanese stereo in my Supra and I'm trying to fathom the connectors at the back.
There are two interestingly shaped white connectors which currently have a host of cables to them, there is an aerial socket and there is another round socket with a square set of pins - I also have a stock UK head unit which seems to have the same connector between the CD section and the rest.
Does anyone know what this extra connector is and what the pin-oputs are ?
also the mkiv.com has the pinouts (possibly) for the other connectors one of which is labelled "mute" does anyone know if this is actually a mute line and whether it's supported in the standard setup ?

If you are planning on changing it, best bet is to get an iso connector from halfords or I expect Matt Harwood could sort you out with one, it plugs into the standard harness further down, at the left side of the tunnel about 6 to 8 inches back from where the front of the stereo would be. These (mine atleast) use standard wire colours and is labeled on the packet, so if you need to hack into it its easier and you dont have to touch the stock loom.

This does however bypass the standard amp, which is no great loss :baa:
