Robzki Posted September 24, 2010 Share Posted September 24, 2010 Hi Quick general question regarding the 1st turbo. I've just fitted all bpu mods. I've also fitted a boost controller(secondhand). Now the car doesn't seem to have the same boost as it used to on the 1st turbo. The second is very good. The question is, Inline from the turbo housing to the control solenoid is a small filter. when I blow through it it feels as if its completely blocked. What problems would this cause? In my mind it would cause overboost rather than under. but saying that I know that the solenoid vents excess pressure to atmosphere to fool the wastgate into staying closed, but it can't do this with a blocked filter. Have you tried running the car with the boost controller omitted from the plumbing?
