I've got the opportunity to purchase a HKS PFC F-CON fairly cheap. - It came off a TT supra RZ and comes complete with a fcd and wiring harness.

Will this plug straight on to my ecu ? I'm guessing it will need setting up etc etc... How much would i be looking at to set it up ?

Whats the benifits of this device ?

Thanks.

Why do you want the FCON? Unless you're going for a big single/twin you don't need it and IMO there's better options available anyway. To my knowledge Tdi have the most experience with this unit and mapping doesn't come cheap.

Ok chaps.... So whats the advantage of this unit anyway? and what does it exaclty do ?

Aparently the unit i'm getting has already been mapped for a 96 tt supra - But i'm guessing it will be different for each car.

I've got stage 3 hybrids and a front mount intercooler along with various other bits and bobs... Just thought this would make me have more bhp... But if its minimal then i prob won't bother.

Thanks..

It's a piggy back ECU and in theory can be mapped to suit the spec of your car. Numerous tuners claim to be able to map them but I'd be *very* careful who you trust. Like Paul says have a word with Pete at Thor, he won't mess you around.

If you have hybrids and it's been setup and everything's working as it should I'd leave it alone myself.

It adjusts timing aswell as fuelling....the Japs seem to like em. Nemesis mapped a Supra with one and got good results too according to a post on here. TDI as previously mentioned use them alot.
