I fitted a new headlight on drivers side works fine but its brighter than the near side, both got the same hb4 bulbs.

has any got a clue?

I would think you just need to get your headlights focused.

Plastic or glass lenses?

If plastic it maybe that the older one has more yellowing hence is dimmer

Is one headlight old and one new then? Could it just be that the lens is clearer on the new one?

Are the bulbs identical and same wattage?

Try swapping the bulbs over first - assuming the near side bulb is already seated correctly and the electrical connections are good.

All it can be really is:

Incorrectly seated bulb

Poor electrical connection(s)

One bulb is better (brighter) than the other (are they the same wattage?)

The new light unit is in much better condition than the near side one.

I got brand new o/s last week the n/s is old one. bulbs are the same and same watts

they are both glass

Did you have them focused? If your new one is pointing to high it will look brighter.
