Relocation of RLTC box

I want to move the RLTC box, can you remove the switch and launch button from the box, and is it just a matter of pop the box open and take them out, then fit them where you want them?

yes.

Just undo the screws on the back of the box and it opens up to reveal a swtiched pot and a button, just take those out of the box and put them wherever you want them. Obviously you will need to solder in additional wire if it wont reach where you want it but you can have them as far apart as you want.

Cheers John, thought that was the case. Just want to get it moved from under the stereo and into the dash somewhere (if I can find some room!) then I can fit the S-AFC in its place.

I had to unsolder the launch button wires to do this too as the switch was pushed in from the front of the box if you see what I mean. Easy enough though.

I put mine in the cig lighter position.

I got a longer stem switch for a couple of quid from Maplins and drilled a hole for the led.

I had to make a couple of washers/spacers to fit the switch ... but it was easy enough.

Its in easy reach now ...... as I like to change settings frequently when out playing:innocent:

Mine's just to the left of the steering wheel. Easy to fiddle with, although you can't really see the knob very well. Ooer mrs!

I'm thinking of putting mine round the gear lever somewhere. No probs with the soldering.

Just need to find some sort of white lettering transfers so I can mark the different settings out.

Mine has the LC switch near the gear lever, and the kob up near the foglight switch.

I put mine in the centre console under the arm rest neatly tucked away.

If you find any, post up where you got 'em from. I was after some way of doing this a while ago but I never found any.

I thought about this too, but dont want to be opening the arm rest compartment everytime I want to change settings. Like Matt, I change settings quite often. I'll need to see what sort of position is best, I dont like moving my hand away from the gear lever, so like all gadgets within easy reach!

I'm the opposite, I only switch between wet and off, don't use launch and like a standard looking dash

I like a standard looking dash too! Well, apart from the boost gauge, EGT gauge, brushed silver speedo etc.. dials and turbo timer, its pretty stock!!! I suppose I mean I like it to look like it was fitted by the factory rather than gauges and switches stuck on all over the place!!!

If anyone doing this would like to wait a week I have the new relocation frontage being produced right now

This fits in place of the cigarette lighter postion and will come backlit with clear see-through fascia and new S/S knob!!

dont know if I should put a boost controller above the turbo timer in the spare slot (to the right of ignition) or move the fog light switch there!?

RLTC will go just under the handbrake and to the side a little I think.
