ALT-S fuse removal - what does it do?

I have been looking at removing the trac fuse in my auto NA-TT but it has already gone and I have been having a slight issue with gettting into 4th. Originally being an NA auto I assumed this would be the case as it did not have T.C.

However, I've also read that removing the ALT-S fuse may help. But I cant find anything that says what it is. I assume that it has something to do with altinator. What would be the consequances of removing it?

Thanks.
