So as few of you may already know I've gotten me a Toyota supra (n reg) tt 6spd (love her more every day).

Two bad things in 1st few days of purchase:

1- Arggh! I touched the curb when doing a 3 point turn and the front bumper lip cracked!! Not major but visable... :(

2- Insurance really killed me, almost £3k.

Nobody else covered me (Inc sky insurance & my old insurer)

Getting tints all round on Tuesday

£100 (the dude said "discounted price" but not sure)

Booked for my Clifford avantguard & a tracker to be fitted on Thursday

£825 (bare in mind it's legit & full kit.. Inc autostart :D)

need some alloys as my stock ones look abit.... Too stock.

TRD RZ? What does that mean?

The Nissans are worth pretty much bugger all these days so insurance will be cheaper on those simply due to the low value.

Glass headlights are about £150 each from Toyota.

BTW, it does sound like a lot of insurance to pay, even given your age and low no claims. Do you live in a bad postcode area (that's not to say where you live is bad, but some seemingly nice areas get bad ratings due to claims per household). Google it to see how you compare.

Sky are geared towards the "majority" of club members which are late twenties onwards, PLUS live in a non-blacklisted postcode. It's one reason why they can quote most of us in that bracket decent rates.

And members which are south of the border! They wont touch us northeners :(

Adrian flux quoted me 1600 with 2 years no claims at 23

Tell your fellow northerns to stop nicking/crashing cars then :D It's all about statistical risk analysis, nothing more than that. More claims in your area = higher insurance. I'm the same here living in a "bad" area compared to the rest of the county, so have to pay more because of that.

The cars an rz... And has trd logo... Lol

So it's an RZ then :D
