Help with a whistle noise from under the bonnet

The car has developed a whistle and although no loss of performance, I am worried what it is.

In the video it's quite clear

I will embed it again a bit later, for now this link wont slow the thread down

It's an N/A so it's not the turbo and I can't find a supercharger, even though I have been with BarneyBrendan a bit lately.

I can't pin point where it's coming from, but I am wandering if it's possible the alternator could make a noise like this, as I am not happy with my battery.

The only other thing I can think of is an air leak from somewhere

Any suggestions ?????

I was wandering if someone had hidden one of them under there somewhere:D

Even Pudsey mentioned it when Barney took it for a spin at the weekend.

It's not particularly annoying other than the fact something isn't right and I am also worried something is about to go wrong and I am about to run it down the strip at SupraPod

is the car left standing for long periods of time?

I have heard an alternator make that noise when trying to charge up a really badly depleated battery.

No it's driven most days and starts no problem,

but I have one of those batteries with breather holes and due to rain coming through the vented bonnet, it lets a small amount of rain water in the holes sometimes.

So when it been on a bit of a brisk run, it tends to overflow a bit.

So I am wondering if a couple of the cells on the battery are getting a bit damaged and not holding there charge properly
