Hi all, cant seem to figure out how to remove the exterior door handles, i can see from behind, insider the door, there are 2 screws, now i think if i remove them the handles will come free, but i dont want to mess around with the locking mechanism, if i remove these 2 screws, will the plastic facia and handle come of? think i will have to loose a cable for the pull handle?

Help please, im really stuck on this one, one of my first problems with a supra was to do with the door handles, and i failed, so dont want to dive into this one:D

Yep, two screws, undo with the window up to gain access.

Once the they're undone the handle will come away from the door and there is a little bar with a plastic attachment that unwinds off the back of the handle.

Very simple to see once the door handle is away from the door.

Don't unwind the bar just spring open the plastic retainer and the bar will come out of it, you can mark the threads of the bar so it goes back as it came out.
