Boosting strange and incorrect gauge readings

Evening all. I have just taken the car for a little run and have had some strange going ons with the boost and the boost gauge reading also.

Bit of backround: J-Spec TT with all BPU mods and boost set to 1.2 bar with HKS controller.

The 1st time I went WOT everything spooled up as usual and the 2nd turbo came in at around 4000 rpm as it should. But when it came on the kick felt far stronger than at other times. This kept happening. Eaxch time, however, the boost gague was only reading 0.7 bar! Last time I went on a drive it read correctly, approx 1.2. As I said though,it felt as if it was boosting to more than normal and certainly far more than 0.7 bar.

Could it just be a wiring problem to the gauge? Now I'm not great with engines or electrics but I assume if there is a problem with the gauge it wont effect how the turbos spool. Also why would the car feel as if it is producing more boost than normal (given the massive kick of power compared to normal)? Is it just reading the 1st turbo?

I will take it out again tomorrow and have someone stare at the boost controller (I din't fancy taking my eyes of the road too long) to see what reading that gives. Any help in the mean time would be good great though.

Thanks:)

Haha. Solved and I'm a little bit foolish. When I checked over the pipes last night all seamed fine. But tonight before taking it out I noticed I one had popped off the BOV:twak:

So the gauge is reading better now and in tandam with the controller. Boost is also much smoother now, as it was previously. I did however hit 1.3 bar so have altered the boost controller, all is fine now. Just hope I didn't hurt the turbos too much when I hit 1.3.
