Putting in some Racing Seats

Decided that I really fancy stripping the interior out and fitting some racing seats in there, but i've come across a dilema.

As i've never done anything like this before I assumed that you purchase the new seat, take your old one off it's rails and plonk your new seat on them.

Now this is obviously not the case as I have now found but what exactly do I need and where do I get them from.

There seem to be a million and one different mounting brackets you can buy and I don't know which ones are the right ones, or if there are even wrong ones in the first place.

Anybody give me a hand?

You can get supra specific subframes, I have got brides in mine with runners. Don't buy universal ones as they are a pain in the arse.

Decide what seats you want and see if the supra specific subframes fit the seats you want. Mine are bride runners with sidemounts and sparco seats.

There are a few people on here who deal in seats and all the mounting stuff, paul and dude both stock them.

I'm partial to Cobra Misanos myself, got some with black alcantara and lumbar support :) mmmm

Just ping whifbitz for help getting seat subframes if you want to buy new, otherwise you may be waiting an age to get a set second hand.

So does it not matter what seats you actually go for as long as you get the right subframes for the Supra?

It's a fair assumption to make that if you can buy a supra specific subframe for the seat, the seat'll fit ;)

As said, Paul @ whifbitz or the guys at AFR should be able to give some very good advice.
