Latest car gone for MOT and Decat fit this morning

Just taken the Silver/primer/filler (soon to be black) TT I bought from Keron as a CatC earlier this year for it's MOT. While there going to get the bloke to put my decat pipes and restrictor ring on the car as its much easier on the ramp. Told him to do the MOT and emissions first though! Fingers crossed.

In fairness to the guy I use, my NA has gone through ok for the past 3 years without cats on;) Something to do with stray emissions from the adjacent mot bay...

Is there any truth in this or is it just a myth as im soon to require a MOT on my T67 single which I know does not pass emmitions tests??

It is the truth for N/A's, not for TT as they are in the import emmisions book.

Well several people have said this on here over the years, but I have NEVER been able to convince the testing station that this is the case. I guess its just because they use the JZA80 part on the system.

Then they are using the 2JZ-GTE info, not the 2JZ-GE. There is a book that they must use to decide and if your engine model is not in there there it does not need to pass the test.

:)And it passed! No advises, straight through and decat pipes fitted. When I took it for the VIC test I thought it felt a fair bit quicker than the NA, but now:d :d
