clunking noise

does anybody git a slight clunking noise from the engine

when moving along in first and then taking foot of accelertaor ???

just wondering if its normal ??

Mine does this, was a bit worried at first but apparently it's normal to hear the diffs engaging/dissengaging, which will give a slight clunk.

I've also wondered about this when coming off throttle, so it's probably nothing to worry about then.

yeah 6 speed singal turbo

its like when you go along in first gear in traffic and take foot of pedel

it goes clunk clunk cunk a few times almost as if its scraping aswell

i think paul said they do make alot of noise i was just a bit worried and wanted too se what other owners had to say about the matter

Mine does exactly the same mate, it's the joys of a six speed.

My 5 speed does the same

My 5 speed did the same, and my friends, normal afaik.

My old 5 speed N/A never did it, 5 speed boxes are a very quiet and refined gearbox.

Not always or badly, but when I am driving slowly and moving up the gears in a leisurely manner, you hear a clink just after the gear change.
