Help from an experienced member in York area

Car had it's MOT today and failed as the rear offside brake is leaking a bit.

Also was told I need a replacement offside front sub-frame as the current one is rusted. Been told that rust here is expected and I might well not need a new one.

Is there anyone in the York area that would be able to have a look at the car/or help me sort it/diagnose?

Also - which garages to people around York use?

Thanks, Martin

I know a good chap in Sherburn in Elmet but can't help in the immediate area I'm afraid.

Should be a relatively normal thing to sort out though, there isn't anything too unusual about Supra brakes compared with those on other cars. Any idea where its leaking from? Bleed nipple area is prone to cracking but could just be a seal that needs replacing.

Thanks for the reply Michael.

Elmet's only around 20 miles away so it's certainly doable.

m_life serviced my car and made a quick attempt at nipping this in the bud before I left (didn't have much time and it was just him helping out on something he'd noticed).

I'd happily have the brakes fixed and it retested elsewhere, even if it was a bit of a drive. I'm still not to sure if it's been failed appropriately on the subframe though as I know little about this kind of thing unfortunately.
