What size tyres

I am getting a little confused now the Tyres sizes for the wheels I have just bought they are 9x18 and 10x18 what size tyres do I need ? I think I've picked up that I need 295/30/18s for the rear, what size do I need at the front ?

245/35 front and a 265/30 or 275/30 rear:)

So is it a big no to 285 and 295s on the rear ? Feel like I am looking for a needle in a haystack

295 is as far as id go though, probly stretching it a little bit id say

I was quoting sizes for 19s...

you want a 40 profile on the front and 35 on the rear for 18s unless you just want the looks

i would go with a 285 on a 10j rim personally. i like the shoulder to sit outbount of the rim, i hate to see tyre shoulders sat inbound of the rim lip.

i am putting 8.5 and 10js on my car and ill be going with 255 front 285 rear.

depends what brand of tyre you buy as just because they have the same size on the side different brands can differ in size a fair bit .

I wish they were 19s lol would be uber rare then think I understand it better now but I was told that I needed 30s on the rear coz it's a percentage ??

Good call.. Falken 452s for example are alot smaller in width than quoted compared to something like a toyo 265

Mine are Falken and sit dead in line with the wheel face.

SteD has 10" wide jade r's on his and runs a 265 falken and it doesnt sit flush with the face of the wheel at all

Basically I want big tyres width way as I don't want to kerb the rims and don't want to go for the stretched rubber look

I suppose it boils down to your budget aswel.

Id stick with my original recommendation (with some minor alterations )

245/40 for the front and 275/35 rear

a pirelli p- zero 285 fits well on a 10j. continental tyes are narrow. michelins are normally quiet wide model depending.

if you go for toyo or yokohama a 275 will be a nice fit

If you go too wide your handling will suffer.

The rim will roll from side to side in the tyre giving the car a slightly detached feeling.

I like the toyo T1r's so might just put some 275s on then

The falken 452s look cheap too but if they are as good as the old GSD3 maybe worth a look
