Keith C
My aircon doesn't seem to be quite as powerful as it once was. Toyota want £90 just to recharge, which seems excessive, so I was wondering if someone can recommend someone in the NW Kent area who can do a leak test and recharge for a reasonable fee. Lewis
No reccomendations but around here most people charge £30~ to regas aircon. Thought it might help when deciding where to get it done.
Steve W2
I've just paid £76 to get it done at Toyota. Its a rip off but the service was good and I did get to play on the Playstation for an hour. Oh, they cleaned my car for me too:) I have heard some people can do it for about £50, but I don't know who they are. Besides with this weather I needed to get mine done quickly;)
toyotasuprauk
I got mine done for £47 via Dudes contact so I knew it would be done properly. £90 is ridiculous they probably just pay a mobile person that charges £55 whilst they take the rest for the Toyota receipt. Sorry I don't know anyone in your area though, tried the yellow pages? Its so nice to have the air con on in this weather.
Terminator
A complete re gas will cost about £25 - £30 of R134a@ trade and will take about 15 minutes an extra 10 mins for a sniff test. So £90 for a top up is really taking the p1ss.
Soonto_HAS_soop
Just been quoted £60 for a check, gas evacuation (I await the obvious jokes), nitrogen pressure test, regas, compressor oiling and then the addition of an ultra violet dye to show any issues may they arise further down the road. JohnK
Had mine done a month or so ago, was £60, bloke came to me and was here for 2 hours! It was a cold day and it took him ages to get his gas bottle hot enough to put it into my system. Works like a dream now
