Seriously contemplating breaking my car!

Well after a 3 month wait and no engine! :(

I'm now contemplating breaking my car for spares! I've done a few calculations and the money works out more than what i'd get if I was to sell it! Also if i was to fit certain parts to it would get me a bit more money towards a TT!

I just want a TT now! As i was getting a full conversion really cheap, its not like I can go and get another, as i'll have to save quite a bit again, plus with a holiday coming up I can't see me having any spare money much after this month now! :(

Whats peoples thoughts? I know its a NA but it has quite a few desireable parts on that would sell well!

Its nothing i'v totally decided on yet just another idea from many ATM!

It also wouldn't be broken until after the holiday in july!

Your right about it being worth more in parts but I personally wouldn't do, unless all the proceeds go towards replacing it with a TT. :eyebrows:

What is it with people killing the red ones! :(

... dibbs on the bonnet :p

Every bit of money would go towards a TT!

At the moment it needs bits doing to it, ideally brakes replaced and a few

minor bits also! It's on PH's for 4350 but ideally I wouldn't take less than a 4 grand for it after everything was sorted!

With eveything being stripped I reckon I could get the full asking price if not more!

Thought you were using Damo? I offered him a TT lump (Aristo) a month or so ago but said he didn't know anyone looking?

Are you Nic by any chance? You come to my works quite a bit?

Aristo engine I wouldn't of turned down, I was going to pay a grand for the whole conversion for mine of a mate! So I'm still 700 shy off getting a tt conversion elsewhere!

I need to think about it, just a sad state of affairs when a car like a supra is worth more in bits than as a whole! :(

It is a nice car, but it's going to take quite a bit of time to get the rest of the money together for the engine! :(

Rob put your dummy back in and just carry on using it. TT can wait, just enjoy your bloody car.

If you dare brake it i will personaly come down there and kick you so hard in the nuts!

Sounds kinky! When you free? ;) :D

Wait for a TT lump mate, your car looks spot on :)

Im on holiday in 3 weeks to Florida but I am also after some stuff doing on my bpu TT since I bought it in January.

18's, UK Front Brakes, Respray of Bomex Front Bumper, New HU and 400 pounds worth of work other work I want doing (AFR sensor, new walboro pump) etc etc

I have got to wait till I return as I cant go to the US skint :D so, while I know what your saying I would hold out for that lump and drop it in your car. It will be worth the wait mate:)

Damn, my stalking days are over :D

Just make sure you've done your homework if you go the breaking route. You don't want to be left short of the money you need and with a load of useless/unsellable parts left over.
