well i an currently looking for tyres to put on some alloys sized 18x8.5J front and 18x10J rear , I've found these 3 sites useful

http://www.camskill.co.uk

http://www.ctyres.co.uk

http://www.tyrexpress.com

http://www.mytyres.co.uk

think i am looking at some 235/40 front , well thats what i used on my last set of fronts sized 8.5J and 285/35 rears the Toyo T1R's at the price of £141 ( on the tyrexpress site) are cheaper than the 265/35 ( on all sites) i used to use ??? dont know why but i am not complaining

anyone else have any good sites to look at ? if so put the link up :D

well tyrexpress have beaten camskill on a few prices ( ok just 1 i think) but i am sure the last time camskill said they do a price match or will beat the competition

so far ive found that toyo T1R 235/40 will cost £112 per tyre and tyre express will do the rear , 285/35 for £141 :) but Good year Eagle F1 GSD3 are on ebay for £130 a tyre just find any cheap fronts

I've used camskill before, but after the last time, I took the tyres along to a local tyre place to get them fitted... He could have supplied and fitted the tyres for £2 more than it ended up costing me.

The extra whole £2 is worth it for me not having to arrange to have someone in to take delivery and lugging the tyres around myself. :)

This is true, Some garages charge £20 a wheel to change which can make it more expensive.

Every time I've bought tyres in the last few years my local supplier has been within a few quid of the total cost of buying online (often cheaper).

Buying online doesn't always save money...

Got camskill sourced tyres fitted to the Mini today, basically I got 2 pirellis for the price of one from here.

We where trying to figure out why they are so cheap and one of the mechanics said , did I check the production date on the tyre, even though they are new if they where manufactured back 6 years ago, tyres have a shelf life(he commented he seen this before, new tyres but manufactured back in 2004)

On further discussion, they said within the EU a new legislation is coming in to ensure all tyres must have a manufacture date within

3 years, currently it is 6

Will check them tomorrow, anybody with camskilll tyres should check too

How to identify Manufactured Date

Found these good too, http://www.eiretyres.com/ (German Company)

Never been able to find anyone who can beat my local Chessington Tyres. Got a pair of 265/35 R18 Pirelli Pzero Nero N4's tyres for £140 fitted each.

Yep - Chessington tyres (I have used the one in Burpham) are about the cheapest non-internet place I've used.
