drove our lasses supra on the weekend just gone and it got a bit of a problem i think, at first i thought the clutch was slipping as there was a bad burning smell but when i looked under the car it looked like the smoke was coming off the exhaust , up to the point of the 2nd cat. now i think it might be burning oil but there should be no reason why there is oil in the exhaust :( on start up the car idles at about 2K too so that worried me too

any ideas or anyone had a simalar experience ?

Hi mate, ive heard of a seal around the back of the engine that can leak oil onto the exhaust, cant remember anymore details but have definetly heard it a few times on here. Was there a difference in smoke when stationary compared to pulling away?

Cam cover gaskets is my guess

just ordered 2 sets of cam gaskets got a set for mine too

if smell is similiar to clutch burning, I would rather check gearbox oil than engine oil.

yep thought that too but a few of the lads rekon the front calipers are binding ? how do i sort that one out ?

also oil is dropping on to the 2nd cat and smoking alot
