Less swearing please folks

Hi folks,

It's about that time of year again when I need to ask you all to keep an eye on your swearing on the forum.

This is a public forum which is visible to many including children.

We have some swearing filters in place but I still would like it to stop please.

It seems to be more common place now so I'm hoping we can stop the degeneration in to a forum that doesn't even notice when swearing is in a thread.

There is almost never a need for it so if you can cut it out please.

Maybe time to impose infractions on to frequent swearers?

would rather not go back to that, but it may well be needed. I'm hoping the polite approach works....

You find the language on the forum is directly proporitional to the price of the cars as a general rule - the better the member, the more expensive the car.

I've watched the MR2 world go that way in the last 4-5 years ... sad times.

I agree - keep the swearing to a minimum, no matter how annoyed you get at my posts!

Have to say that i for one hate it when swearing is used for no reason, when i'm at work and blokes put the F word between every other word, i just take a much lower opinion of them, sounds so common.

I do swear a lot but not in front of my children. When I post, I type it as I would have said it if someone was in front of me....

Therefore if I treat you all like children, I'll probably not swear at all in my posts......

I think I've sworn once in all of my 470 posts and that wasn't agressive... I don't think that's bad going, but I'll abolish it completely.

Yeah, on a serious note. I've noticed I'm becoming more complacent on this. No idea why, I swear once in a blue moon in 'real' life. consider me spanked.
