New rear lights

mmm, mixed opinions, they must be the visual version of marmite, lol.

I think they suite the silver well and clean the rear end up a little. The reflectors are there to keep them road legal. I bought them from a member on here who made them up himself. I was going to go along the clear indicator route and have 2 red lenses left. I even bought a second set of lights but bought these as I havnt seen them done before and wanted to be different.

I know gauges arnt everyones cup of tea but I was going to try some track days and thought it a good idea to keep an eye on engine oil press, temp, boost (as usual) and ATF temp. I tried to match them with the white dials and put them in the dash to keep things looking neat instead of having pillar pods everywhere or loosing a glove box

I think the rear lights would work well if they were completely silver, that red ring is ruining things slightly. Kev O has a similar thing going on & I like it, esp since each lense is completely silver

Car looks great though Chris

Quick PS of one side of yours, it's a bit like if you're going to go all silver, you have to go ALL silver if you know what I mean

Jay's right ... it looks much better without the red ring.

not sure how they have done it as the red disc's are larger than the clears so by rights the clears in the centre's will have a gap around the edge.

is it just another clear reverse lense from a set of pre facelift j-spec lights required to get rid of the red ring? if so I have 2 spare sets of lights now so I may take them apart and change it to see what it looks like.

You'll need another set of UK rears mate. (About £90 new when I last checked).

I like those rear lights and IIAC the red ring is the reflector which is an MOT requirement so surely removal will get you a fail, and as you said its a little different. Not sure about the gauges - can you actually read them as the pictures look like you cant from the drivers seat?;)
