jackso11
I want to change a load of hoses under the bonnet. Most of the rubber hoses are solid now due to age and I also have a crack in the BOV hose. I have ordered new breather hoses that go between the cam covers from toyota along with a new BOV hose which cost £33 for the 3 of them. I want to replace all the hoses I can with black silicone but wondered what diameters I will need and what lengths of each diameter to ge the job done? I know a lot of you guys have added colour this way so would know the lengths needed. Thanks
heckler
its a mixture of 4 + 5mm IIRC - I just got 2m of each and that did the trick with some spare!

jackso11
does it need to be reinforced? Most of the stuff on there seems to say 'No reinforcement' in other words, would this stuff be ok? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BLACK-Silicone-Vacuum-Turbo-Boost-Dumpvalve-Hose-4mm-/120568093624?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item1c126b1bb8 Edited May 10, 2010 by jackso11 (see edit history)
