Hay all.

As some of you know iv been measuring up and doing some calculations on making my custom sub box for my supra.

A lil hard work when into it with alot of help from my dad (thanks dad) and a total of 15 hours for a nice result!

I went for a Rockford Fosgate PS3D412 shallow sub with an MRP-M352 alpine amp using autoleads wiring kit.... got a lil discount as i get on well with the guys at Autronix! Thanks lads :)

Ok here is the kit:

The base and 2 sides place in to make sure i have made the correct messurments!

Dad plaining the sides to make the correct angles for a tidy look.

We pre drilled wholes in the 3/4" MDF to make sure that the wood wont split when putting the self tappers in

Then used the counter sink tool for the screw head to sit nicely

Sides being glued and screwed into place

As you can see its all starting to take shape!

With the top on we know can now shave any odd angles and make it a nice finish befor adding sealant for the enclosure.

The hole cut out for the sub

The top is removed so now there is no more sawing to be done.... time for sealant for a tight enclosure!

Time for carpeting in my room. Its ideal as i can stretch the carpet out to cling on to my floor carpet so no wrinkles nor creases will be on the box! Hard multipurpose prit-stick was ideal!

Banzai mags and an upside down table to help the glue dry firmly lol

Ok all cupeted and the sub in place ready for the car! And need to screw on the "Punch" ring!

I didnt want a huge system as it just adds more weight but this is seriously loud! Any more would blow my head i think lol!

And finally the finished product! Ok a nice hover and a lil more of a tidy up with carpet is in order! But thats about it :)

Well i hope u all like.. Feel free to leave comments :)

Thanks

Paul

The fact that it is on show through the windscreen, is that by design?

no it was just the way it worked out, problem is i still wanted a boot and didnt wanna just give up the boot!

So to mate sure that thesub has 1 cubic area inside the box... with a tidy look this is the only way it could come out!!

ME and my dad had a good time building it though! was a giggle... and an experience of doin it!

I am sure your sub is the same imi? ;)

Looks nice & tidy mate, though I'd recommend you use the blind when you park it up as prying eyes can end up leading to a chav trying to go through your window for it.
