Broken exhausts

As a few of you know I've bought 2 broken super dragers, can these be fixed ? Basically it's the inside on both exhausts and a dint on the outer case

Hmmmm im guessing if the work went into it, it can be done, im guessing removing the pipe work and and opening up the case if it can be done, try emailing a few exhaust specialists to, then diy it!

steve - is the pipe stainless or plain steel? - i know the rear can is stainless..

a thought has just entree my head, and I think I need to find a powerflow, if I get the back can repaired have the pipe work re- done in stainless steel

Easiest and probably the most cost effective solution would be to cut off the rear silencer and get a new one welded on.

You bought two broken exhausts without first knowing if they can be repaired?

I'm assuming it's the internal baffles that have broken up? If so then like Nic says, you're best off welding a new backbox on.

1 of the people is not answering any PMs, emails or his mobile, and the other has asked me to look into getting it repaired

I have had one repaired before, if it is just the baffles come loose they can drill a hole re fix then close up costs around £25. If they have disintergrated different story!

Yeah that sounds all too familiar, name and shame

Superdrager exhausts are sadly not the best. The mild steel means they do fail quicker than things like the NurSpec.

If you are repairing it then all the mild steel stuff will need to be cut away, so as somebody else said you can probably reuse the backbox but the rest may be scrap.

Find a custom exhaust shop and get them to copy the Drager but in st/st, or buy a new exhaust rather than try to repair the 2 you've got.

No need to name and shame as I'll hold my hands up. As Steve is aware though, as far as I was aware the exhaust was fine. I even spent a good while polishing up the muffler etc. If I knew it was bolloxed I wouldn't have bothered.

He and I are sorting it and there are no problems. Unfortunately I am suffering from chicken pox so did not pick any pm's up for 3 weeks as I have had it very bad, therefore causing a slight delay.

So I apologise to those who want these "familiar" types to be named and shamed, as there has be nothing untoward happening:)

In all fairness I do see their point though, and would probably have thought the same. So it could just be the rant was a little uncalled for.

nah mate your clear , but what i do think is every one should not buy anything from Ian AKA EncoreWRC until this is sorted out

My superdragger failed on the mild steel pipe join and in various places along the mild steel section. Not a great rear box IMO, especially for what they cost.

Your probably better off going with a full cat back stainless steel system than fiddling around with broken units.

just like the polished, slash cut, jap look of the drager

Which one you looking at getting fixed, and how bad damaged is the other one?

On another note the powerflow in bury st edmunds is too expensive, they wanted 400 to 500 for a manifold back exhaust for my mg zr, Boston powerflow wanted 350 for the same in the end I brought a Ashley racing exhaust off the shelf perfect fit cost me 210 Inc 40 for fitting at local garage, plus it was a much nicer sound

i would never pay to have an exhaust fitted, they are easy enough to fit
