I went with the stainless just to be on the safe side.

Yes, I'm thinking the same. :)

I can't find the hoses with stainless fittings for a reasonable price.

About £55 for the ones that are zinc plated on ebay.

About £74 for the stainless fittings at Demon Tweeks, there aren't many places that sell these.

I emailed the guy selling them on ebay and the reply was he can supply the stainless ended ones for £62 but it will take 10days as they have to be made up.

Do-luck are stainless for £62 also and are ready made, and are purple if you want to add a little colour.

How long did they last Steve?

They're still ok, just not so shiny now. I don't think they're going to be a big problem at all, but I would have gone for the stainless if I'd known. They've been on around 18 months. (edit: I should add the car's been off the road most of that time!)

Yeah thats the ones I have on the car, look good quality, but not a nice colour imho. but hey you can't see 'em fitted, least not with my wheels.

I resemble that remark...

yellow bilsteins, red calipers, busy wheels.....and purple brake lines ;)

Its not a nice purple either :(

Would have preferred clear coated but I was under time constraints at the time (mot)

Good luck with the search.
