Guest supra-mad-jim
Hi everyone, just joined this site today! ive been supra mad for years but never owned one, this is due to insurance when i was younger and then tied up with the missus who had kids so it wasnt (in her words) very practical, i could see the problem but to keep the peace i didnt buy one!! well the nightmare is over and im free from her!! so im going to spend sum money!! :D:d:D My dream supra is a silver nicely kitted manual twin turbo!! but ive searched everywhere and yet to find the perfect one, so im kinda getting inpatient now, and have seen a few nice autos about, and they all seem to be cheaper!! so im thinking im guna get one untill ive find that manual!! Has anybody got any comments about auto twin turbos? are they worth getting? ive driven manual tts but never an auto so i really cant compare! any comments would be appreciated as im looking to buy very soon! cheers
kill1308
I normally hate automatic cars, but I have to admit, the two Auto Supra TT's I've driven surprised me quite a lot, the auto box is very good. I still prefer my 6spd manual though to be honest, but if I were you I'd just get out there and drive one then see which you prefer. From what little I know however, I think you will pay more for a good manual than an automatic.
Guest supra-mad-jim
the problem ive got is about test driving supras is the fact that i live down in southampton the closest auto tt supra for sale is 70 odd miles away, so its not a matter of popping down the road for me, and even any manuals are over 50 miles away!! theres plenty of non turbos around but who wants one of them!! and ive done loads of research and yea you definalty pay more for manuals!! so youve driven one, would you bu an auto?
