hi to everyone hear just got myself a 95 tt took it down to garage to get it checked over and needs a new shocker my man said that it is a yellow bilstine shocker and will have to replace full set is this right or has it got after-market shockers on

Steven, the shocks need top be changed IN PAIRS, not a full set.

A new set from Toyota will be rather expensive, your best bey would be to pay your membership, then post a "Wanted" ad in the classified section.

There are guides on here for changing the shocks.

The rears are a doddle.

funnily enough CW just delivered me a set of rear toyota bilsteins secondhand very reasonable price arrived while I was reading this post :) look great. perfect service. Can't recommend him enough...

 

He also has new german built bilsteins at a good price

I've got a set of OEM coilovers off my 1995 J-Spec TT (RZ) that I want to sell. I'm pretty sure they're not the Bilsteins (although I haven't actually checked), but they'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying new from Toyota.

 

Wished you'd checked the wanteds a few days ago ;)
