Smoked indicators

I am looking to replace my sotck indicators side and front with smoked versions, there are two options I have considered.

1) Smoke the originals myself, I have done this before with the rear lights on a previous car bat was just wondering if anyone has attempted to smoke the originals, what they looked like when finished and also if you could still see when you were indication.

2) Buy replacements, only problem is I have searched all over the internet and cant seem to find any for the the pre facelift

I tinted mine. I didn't stop at "Smoked" though, I went for black

They look awesome thats the look I want to go for what did you use to spray those with?

Etech Tinting Spray.

Be careful though, I have LED front indicators that make sure the indicator is bright enough to shine through the tint. If you go to heavy with the tint it could be an MOT fail.

Ok thanks for the info I guess i'll just take it gradually building up the layers and then testing the lights. Did you get new LED indicator units or uprate the bulbs to LED? Sorry for all the questions, really appreciate the help

One of the members on here, Heckler, is the LED guru. I bought them from him. The side markers aren't LED and they are OK for what they are.

I just went for it and crossed my fingers with regards to the MOT.
