Sorry to the be the bearer of bad news...

Standard Jspec Calipers (front and back) with Jspec sized discs (albeit a fancy drilled one for one axle)

Some decide to upgrade to the UK Brake setup - which will give you a noticeable performance upgrade.

Other stick with the jspec setup but keep to stock discs (brilliant quality) - good fluid, lines and excellent pads.

the leftovers :) consider the likes of K-sport brake due to their 1 zillion pots and bright colours.

Which one are you :)

Brakes are the only thing between you and the tree infront of you so when it comes to it i dont need fancy looking things just need to stop with ease.

Altho i dont think my new wheels will clear uk brakes :(

the rear brake discs look new, what are the pads like much life in them, do they look new.

b

I did try to have a look while the wheels were on but cant really tell, however, It seems the shit braking is coming from the front

Smaller

Thanks

Fronts are the smaller 2 pot calipers with 296 x 32mm discs.

Rear are the smaller 1 pot calipers with aftermarket 307 x 16mm discs.

If you are having problems with them get them checked ASAP. To get the best out of them I would replace the discs all round with new OEM Toyota ones, fit a set of quality aftermarket brake pads, replace the brake fluid and fit a set of braided Goodridge brake lines. Fitting a brace for the master cylinder will also help firm up the pedal feel.

Very spot on, You must know your brakes :D

Would these be any good with some braided Goodridge brake lines ?

Just a query, you mention bigger or smaller j-specs? Don't they just do J-spec and Uk-spec?

Or is there such a thing as a big j-spec set up?

There were 2 factory brake options on the Supra

Larger Brakes

Front - 4pot Calipers, 323x30mm Discs

Rear - 2pot Calipers, 324x16mm Discs

Smaller Brakes

Front - 2pot Calipers, 296x32mm Discs

Rear - 1pot Calipers, 307x16mm Discs

All UK spec Supras were factory fitted with the larger brakes.

J-spec Supras were factory fitted with either the larger brakes or the smaller brakes, depending on the model and year.

The larger brakes often get referred to as UK brakes, but as they were also factory fitted on many J-spec Supras (actually a lot more than were fitted to UK Supras) the term is confusing.
