hello

im trying to run 2 oil temp sensors, one for engine, one for gear box oil

ive tried putting one sensor in the oil input and one in the water but both are reading the same temp so if i swap them they both read the same again but a different temp so obviously the water input dosnt work for the oil gauges

my question is, to run the 2 oil temp gauges, do i need to buy a second control box to run the second oil temp gauge on its own

or

on the control box it has meter output 1 and meter out put 2...only one is in use so if i buy a cable to go into meter output 2 and send that to one of the oil temp gauges to run it on its own rather than in link with the other gauges will that work?

cheers

nope.. the gauges have an "address" which means if you stick two oil temp gauges in the system then they read the oil temp input..

the only real way to get round it is use an oil temp sender in the water temp input then use a water temp gauge.. although the water temp gauge has limited range .
