Car won't start after mouse invasion.

Ok, having cleared my mouse nest and replaced the two chewed HT leads (NA Supra), now the car won't start.

The first few times of ignition, I could hear the whirr of the starter turning the engine, followed by a series of fast, loud clicks. Subsequently, the starter no longer turns and I just get the clicking.

I've had a good look around the bay and can't see anything else chewed up, like the leads to the injectors. There is no smell of petrol at all, yet the tank is 3/4 full.

There are no fault codes showing, in fact the yellow engine light doesn't even flash, its just "off" when I short across the E1, TE1 terminals.

All electrics (windows, wipers etc) are fine and the battery is brand new.

Any ideas? My first thought is something chewed under the car near the fuel pump. Should I be able to hear anything from near the tank with the ignition on?

the mice came back to finish the job!

you shouldn't have fcukd with them.

I killed his family man, he's up for revenge.

I'm charging the battery now. Starter contacts were re-newed a couple of years ago so I'm ruling them out.
