Attero
Is it a good idea to use t-cut on this? Or is it pointless? Is this a respray job? I'm not the best paintwork person.
Rob_Mitchell
not sure try it mate! is that burnt in bird crap? if its laquire peeling, then yeah will be best to have painted again. where is the mark? eg- bonnet
Attero
It's on the bonnet and the laquer has peeled from what I believe was bird crap, yes. I bought it like that, so I can only assume. Wander how much a respray job on the bonnet would be.
Chris Wilson
That won't T cut out, bonnet needs repainting!
Dnk
Take it to a decent bodyshop as it might just be the laquer, if it is its just flat it back then re laquer, if its eaten through the paint as well then its a repaint and re laquer. Depending where you go you could get it re painted and laquerd for around £250 ish
Attero
Well I'm going to t-cut it first and see if I get any results minor or not. If not, I guess a respray is on the agender.

Dont waste your time, if your going to try anything get some 1200wet and dry flatting paper and a flatting block a bucket of water and try flatting the area. If you use t cut it'll take you forever and it'll be patchy as you'll have to do the whole bonnet, much better and quicker to block the bonnet
Ian W
£250 to repaint the bonnet? I'd have said closer to £150 to be honest given it'd be the same colour etc

Attero
I won't be scared... I know different places are different. I've been ripped off for poor sprays before and I won't let it happen again. It's just a shame that most people on the island do a really shocking job at both fixing and spraying cars. In fact - does anyone know anywhere in Hampshire that is pretty good for this stuff? Close to Winchester preferably. Thankyou.

Rob_Mitchell
we would charge about £200 to repaint your bonnet and flick over the tops of the wings. if you flat it there is always a chance or rubbing through but try it... repaint is my choice of action
