Problem removing visual performance dials

Hi Guys, i have searched for a result to this and no-one seems to have done this before?

I am removing my self illuminating 'visual performance' dials to put in some Thor racing steel ones.

My old dial assembly had all the bulbs missing so (after being shocked by the price of the bulbs) i bought another assembly from keron with all the bulbs in(cheers mate), the assembly works fine but the speedo, revs, fuel and engine temp dont illuminate, all the shift bulbs work (park, drive etc) as does the hand brake symbol on the left of the dials.

All of the bulbs are in place and i have checked that they work out of the system.

The old dials are wired in to the car with what looks like a transformer with wires leading to the points in the picture attached.

Does anyone else have this wired in on there assembly? is this what is preventing the assembly from lighting the bulbs? if so how do i revert the system back to standard so it all works and i can get on with the next parts of the car.

i am stuck here guys and need help

cheers

:(
