hi been over two weeks without indicators, really getting to me,

so far changed relay and fuses and hazzard switch,

no hazzards if i push hazzards on nothing.

but with hazzard switch on i can get my drivers side indicators working.

switch to pass side indicators will freak everything flashes like some sort of earth fault on dash blows fuse in dash panel.

i checked wiring including ripping out the alarm system that was

badly wired in, and started again.

could it be anything to do with the speedo cluster thats causing

faults..

if you read any post by me, i got stung really bad on car insurance and just dont have funds this month to get an auto electrition out.

i know its a lot to ask maybe some one in kent my be able to help me fault find,

i can pay petrol and a bit of cash.

or if your local and have a spare speedo cluster i can try.

any ideas please can you help me.

thanks

I can provide you with a few wiring diagrams, but that sounds like you have a little bit of tracing to do....

hi gav, i have some wiring diagrams and tryed to trace stuff but

ended up getting very confused, all seems to be correct as followed. but why is the hazzard switch working backwards.

thats what leads me to poss short on clocks.

thanks

could be a number of things really. In the past I have had similar faults on cars and resulted in the following being faulty.

hazard relay

hazard switch

This was not on a supra but was common on vw's.

thats what i thought, the thing is i have replaced both off them,

just waiting for some more fuses and relays to turn up, then i can get started again. im going to locate earth wires from pass side indicators and renew them and same for dash ones, also my speedo converter starting to play up. so this might be part of the problem..

just cant do much till i get parts,

thanks for the replys :D

update. still not good.

replaced relay and fuses. all electrics work apart from pass side indicators and hazzard switch,

switch drivers side indicator on fine correct speed flashing flashing on speedo, click the switch to pass side then blows

the fuse.

still blowing a fuse the 7.5amp one in dash, not engine bay one that is fine now as they were both blowing,

tested wiring looms {continuity tester/multi meter}

they test fine.

now i checked the continuity on the hazard switch its showing faulty

so i need another one, this one is a replacement of a member that i brought, my oringal one was duff on all continuity tests.

the one of member is just one pin out that do not test correct.

allso tested indicator switch wiring that is fine too.

now on to get another hazzard and maybe my fault will go,

any input would be great. if you think i may have over looked something.:(

thanks

Ahhh, I remember now, you brought your red supra to the bluewater meet once.

I'm in Sidcup mate. Not sure how far you're willing to travel with no indicators :D

i be fine if every turn is right :D if i turn left i may upset some one.

pet hate of mine not using indicators.

update.. getting there. got hazzards working fine and left and right with out blowing, dodgy conection in engine bay fuse box.removed fuse box wiring and fixed. still problem is.

my rear indicators dont light up hazzards or indicators.

so trying to find the plug that comes from the rear light loom and goes too the fuse box inside car..

i think its a blue connector may be the white loom plug next to it.. anyone know which one.

i cant seem to find any faults in the wiring. or can i put new earth on indicators ans run a new positive wire to the other indicator lights.

any thoughts

thanks
