Passenger Airbag Removal

Just wondering if it is possible to remove the passenger airbag and retro fit a top glove box..? Just some more storage space would be handy.

Would this effect the driver airbag at all..? I know you have to disconnect the battery before trying anything like this, but any ideas how easy they are to remove..?

If you were to remove the passenger Airbag the Airbag light would remain on and the drivers Airbag wouldn't work.

If you still want to remove it you should disconnect the -ve battery terminal and wait for 90 seconds before pulling the plug. You can then dissconnect the Airbag ECU (under the centre arm rest)to stop the light from showing but then obviously you will be Airbagless.

The pros and cons of doing this has been discussed before on here.
