anybody ever fitted a jdm engine to uk spec or vice versa

just wondering if anyone has done this before..

i assume the blocks are the same and its just the aux/anc etc that may differ

ie turbos, ecu , plugs looms, injector size..

what i mean is will the blocks be the same ?

if you removed all parts off and fitted say jdm parts to block

im 97.52% sure the bare block is the same.

hi,yes the japanese 2jzgte is the same has the uk 2jzgte engine

cams are different. UK spec has a slightly higher lift. Evertything else is the same and you can bolt all J-spec anciliries to a UK spec engine/

...but you might need a pair ERG blanks if you aren't fitting that to the UK engine.

Give me a call if you want Jurgen. I did the spanner work on a UK TT engine into Jspec TT a year ago and there are quite a few things to work around. It's not a simple 'drop-in'!

Biggest diff is the head, but you can get the J spec intake on it with a bit of fiddling, if you have a J spec and the UK blocks then the swap is no problem.
