Dave17
After watching my MOT yesterday the tester showed me that my rear passenger side caliper is only exerting half the braking force of the drivers side rear...are there any obvious causes for this and what would the way forward be since it's reducing the efficiency of the braking system? The 'lazy' caliper is exerting about 250 units of force and the drivers side rear is putting out about 650.....
Swampy442
If theyre J spec brakes then it could be siezed sliding pins or a piston. Or both lol
Dave17
Aaah, so caliper refurb kit then?
Swampy442
Maybe not even that, just take the caliper off, clean and grease the sliding pins, pump the piston out a bit to make sure its free, lift the boot a bit and spray some GT80 or something inside, push the piston back on, temp fix done
