What mods to make first??

Hello mate,

It may be worthwhile using the "search" tap on the tool bar; but to be honest, most of the results you will find will basically equate to - fit a TT engine

You could go ahead and fit less restrictive intake and exhaust, but dont expect any massive power gains with what you have.

Unfortunately the N/A is not the best base to work from if you want a fair kick of power. Your best bet will be to go for some form of forced induction, I believe a member is currently working on a supercharged project on his n/a, and there are a few n/a-T kits floating around

Just do a search and see what you come up with, there's so much you could do, it just depends on what budget youre working with

Happy searching

Best thing for an n/a is to not focus on bhp, but on the chassis. Uprate the suspension, poly bush it, upgrade the disks and pads or even the callipers. Best induction for the car would be stock. You could then decat the car and fit a exhaust system.

Don't expect to get much increase in hp from the 2JZ-GE, a tubular manifold, 2nd decat and exhaust will gain you around 10-15hp and improve response. A full service; fluids, plugs, distributor cap, rotor arm and leads will also help optimise performance.

As has already been said, I would concentrate on the handling and braking, fit the bigger 4pot/2pot brakes, decent brake fluid and pads, quality set of tyres and suspension setup.

Another vote for no point in chasing BHP on an NA unless you decide upon a TT conversion or just buy a TT.

As mentioned, improving brakes, refreshing suspension components, ensuring the engine is 100% (all vacuum lines in good order, no perished pipes/hoses etc) and giving it a major service using OE parts is the way to go. Oh and good quality tyres.

Had two services done since I bought it in December, the second of which was at whiffbitz, changed engine oil, went to NGK iridium sparks and most of the rest! But not sure on which suspension to go for, car is lowered and not great on anything but smooth roads which we don't get in London! What shocks and springs work well when lowered...

Really appreciate all the advice!!!! :-)
