cleaning exhaust back to a shine?

i have a 5Zigen exhaust, the back box looks a little brown tbh,

is there a way to get it back to shiny silver? or is it rusted and that the end of it?

(is there a way to test if its stainless or not?)

was thinking of removing, and putting a mop or something on an angle grinder?

try a magnet , if its stainless it wont stick , also get some fine wirewool and a tube of autosol, loads of old rags as its a messy job at the start then once the carbon has gone its a matter of how shinny you want it

I'd try autosol or Meguiar's Metal Polysh and elbow grease first, it should come up nice if it's stainless steel.

so as long as its stainless steel, it wont rust, and is recoverable?

obv if it isnt stainless its just a rusty pice of poo

fine wire wool will take a while, is there anything you can put on a angle grinder or are they all too tough & will scratch it?

only use an angle grinder to cut it off lol, bit of patience and the above will do it

Use a cloth wheel in a drill, with Autosol it will put a shine on anything and fast.

Brasso and mega metal polish for final shine. Worked really well. I'll find pics later

thats what i was thinking, something that goes onto the angle grinder

rarther than struggling to remove it with elobow grease, using a machine to sort

then use autosol or something

what is the name of disc that clips onto the angle grinder,

insted of the cutting disc,

something like a wire wool wheel or scouring pad wheel?
