Don't buy the first one you view. That's what's always said, and is standard advice.

However (and I'm not looking at at selling - there's no angle here!), I bought on my first viewing.

Admittedly, I took along some proper motor knowledge (not a member, or a supra owner, but a good friend who knows performance cars), all the info the club gives (the then owner must have had about 5 cups of tea whilst I went through the list!) and searched for 2 years until the right car came along.

I paid a fair bit of cash, certainly with prices as they are now.

But, in two and a half years of ownership, I have had no problems apart from a slipping clutch. Which, in hindsight, needing to have it replaced put me in touch with CW and had the BPU done too. Never looked back.

So, and I apologise for the long post I'm getting carried away, but what do we think? Are we putting off potential new supra owners?sellers?
