Brake judder

The holes allow gas generated by brakeing to escape instead of being trapped under the pad and lifting if off of the disc (brake fade?) and the grooves do the same and also scrap against the pad to prevent them becoming glazed.

I have grooved/drilled discs all round... I love um! Only problem come when I drive my girlfriends MR2 around, takes a while to get used to having to press the brake pedal if you want to stop, rather than just resting your foot on it! :D
