Hello

Driving towards Rugby on Friday morning and to my horror the bonnet flies open blocking my view. Manage to stop my supra ok but the bonnets finished and ill need to replace the windscreen and bash out the roof.

Any help sourcing a new bonnet would be much appreciated guys and girls. I've looked at the carbon fibre replacements but id prefer a stock J spec or UK. Does any body have one to sell or could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Regards

Dan

Keron (trader on here) is in Leicester so you shouldnt have a problem getting a bonnet, he breaks supras and sells the parts ;)

Cheers guys, yea I spoke with keron, he's not got any stock bonnets in but Tony's sorted me out, again much appreciated.

Never realised there was a supra specialist in Leic so ill look forward to working with him on a few things.

maybe worth fitting a failsafe . something along the lines of a chain or nylon strap that would stop it getting to the windscreen or roff in the event of it opening. think ill make something up tomorrow to pass the time

what used on my mk2 cortina was an old seat belt.it went up fine if you opend the bonnet slowly ,but if you tried to do it quick seat belt would lock.

i know thats all im waiting on to get the engine back in .what i did was fit it in the arch so the belt came through the inner wing between 2 small rollers, that way it was out of sight and if it wasnt connected it would just retract back to the buckle.
