Do you use your handbrake when parked ?

I'm noticing more and more pictures of supra's without the handbrake on when parked , are they prone to sticking ?

I always leave mine in gear handbrake off, from when I used to drive an MR2, the handbrakes were always sticking on them

I use mine all the time even when its stood for ages mainly because its habit because of everyday being in a manual but ive never had any problems with mine sticking

I use my car 3 or 4 times a week and after a few days of not using it i can certainly hear / feel it for a few miles after drive off , but instinct just tells me to keep putting it on .

I left my handbrake on for 3 months when my car was in storage.Almost worn out the TC trying to get loose after,so NIX more handbrake to me.

i use mine but there is really no need with an auto

I use mine when its put to bed otherwise it would roll out the garage.

I always used to apply the parking brake. My dad always leaves a car in gear. Imagine the confusion

Oh yes , forgive me , i'm talking about auto's .

i put it on just because i dont like the car rocking back or forward a little bit when i park.

doesnt feel right if i dont put it on. hehe

I have big time gaps between taking it out, so just leave it in gear.

I always use my handbrake. Only time I take it off is when I know it's going to be sitting for any length of time.

I had mine sitting for a few months and I had a LOT of trouble budging it.

always use mine and never had a problem and mines stored for months on end.

Having said that it might be worse for those who have them left outside,as corrosion can build up on the inner part of the disc/drum.

mind you i have stripped down and cleaned mine so there is no brake dust build up on the shoes and surrounding area as this can contribute to this problem.

Iam not keen on trusting the parking pull peg in the box to hold the car as its only a little thing and not really designed to take the full weight of a supra on a regular basis...imho

Ive had 3 auto cars and find I never used the handbrake with them.I do with manual cars though.

I'll let you know on Saturday when I fire mine up and try to move it for the first time since the end of October...

I actually take the mrs handbrake off if she puts it on.
