I have tried the old silicone spray trick but no joy. Who is currently the best person to contact or best place to go to for roof seals? I don't think Nic is currently about so I am a bit stumped, unless I go straight to toyota but am guessing they are v.expensive there. The Raven Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I am currently working on a fix, mine was repaired by silcone in the past and had no leaks. However it looked awful (they used a clear sealent!) jackso11 Posted February 17, 2010 Author Share Posted February 17, 2010 I thought mine was coming through the driver side at the top of the window as when I get in and its raining, the first time I press the brakes it pours the settled water out onto my leg. Last night I had a look and am thinking it is the front seal where the roof butts up to the front. The caar is a 1994 so new seals must help a bit, otherwise its time to get a rain mac for the car. Funny thing is it was leaking both passenger and driver side, then I got silicone spray and sprayed it all over the drivers side to test it......the passenger side doesn't leak anymore. Gambit Posted February 17, 2010 Share Posted February 17, 2010 I bought mine back in 2006/7 from Mr. T and as far as I remember they were about £36 a side, so not much different from Nic. These are one of those things you expect to cost loads from Mr. T and are surprised how cheap they actually are.
