V
As I only drive my car occasionally and not everyday, what would be the best way to leave the fuel (Shell opti-max) in the car? For the longevity of the fuel tank I suppose a full tank, but in relation to the Octane deterioration over time would this be better in a more compact environment (I am assuming evaporation) ie. full tank, Or, Better leave it half empty/full so that I am re-fuelling with newer fuel rather than topping up older fuel? I would say I use half a tank a week or 2 depending on weather. Many thanks Stephen V
Syed Shah
I think keeping it quite low and topping up each time is best in your situation, otherwise you could be on the same tank of fuel for a very long time: Not good.

ardasaliah
Supra has plastic tank. No rusting!
Syed Shah
Yes, we know that, but it still does not stop the fuel becoming stale and loosing octane over time.
