Finally moved these b*stard tyre valve security caps, didn't find the special tool thingy when I bought the car. I had to fashion something... High fives all round...and cut fingers. Finally got round to fitting the replacement scuttle pannel also. The rubber strip that sits on top pretty much fell away, 16 odd years makes thin plastic a bit fragile, the strip itself seems in reasonable condition and presumably stops water getting to where it shouldn't be. I tried to think of some way around it but have just tied down the scuttle pallen whilst I have a think. Can I get the replacement plastic clips anywhere or do I have to see my pals at Toyota who empty my wallet and likely say "they come as part of a kit"?
