Garage Whifbitz Supra 765bhp at the wheels

I took the car to the dyno today, I've had enough of the problems the car has on Dyno Dynamics dyno's with wheel spin so thought I'd try a Dynopak out. So off to AET Turbos http://www.aetturbosonline.co.uk/ today, no problem at all, 4 runs one after the other all spot on, easy, thats more like it.

Now I have some proper data to compare to when I fit the twin wastegate setup and then the Bullseye S368 turbo. The car made 765.3 bhp & 623lb/ft torque at the rear wheels on only 1.35bar boost, using the power loss of 15% that gives around 880bhp at the flywheel. No funny fuel being used either, just Shell V-Power straight from the pumps.

Obviously loads more power/torque to come with more boost and now I have a dyno that can take the power runs we can spend some time tuning it in. You can see on the dyno graph there's a big chunk missing in the midrange, some more ignition timing there should sort that out.

Nice one, any change to the mapping over what you got at SRR? i want to try out one of these hub dynos now everyone is getting great numbers:cool:

Nope, exactly the same setup. I didn't get a decent run at SRR though dont forget, as you probably know with the missing rubber from your tyres! Can only recommend these dyno's.

ah rite, wernt u thinking of trying the BW or i dream that?

Yep, its coming. I wanted to get a proper base power figure before I start changing things. In a couple of weeks, will be going back with the twin wastegate manifold with the 40/4294R mounted and then I'll bolt the Bullseye on to see what the differences are like. Cant wait now.

:eyebrows:

Would you say a good percentage of the power gain at low boost is down to the stroker?

Its hard to say unless you try them back to back with all the same bits bolted on a std stroker.

Andy at AET did overlay my map against another big power Supra which has a std stroke with a bigger turbo running more boost and my car made more torque and bhp until right at the top end plus mine spooled up 1000rpm earlier.

Does that mean i have gotta drive all the way to leeds now to tweak it for all these changes!!... Lucky im there a fair amount at the moment :)

Nice smooth curve though.

Its not at the wheels though.... its the hubs ;)

Yes mate, afraid so, as AET are one of my sponsor I get a bit of a good deal with them ;)
