EPC question

If you input a VIN plate number (chassis number) will it show the correct engine part for the car where, without a VIN number it shows a choice? Specifically the on line parts list at http://www.toyodiy.com/parts/ shows at least two cam belt tensioner pulley assemblies when searching on a model year, what will happen with a VIN number inputed into the proper PC based EPC?

Where is this katashki code stamped please? Thanks for the kind offer. I am looking for part numbers for the cam belt tensioner pulley assembly, the crankshaft cam belt drive gear with the star trigger wheel attached for the crank position sensor, and actualm tensioner "cylinder" that applies pressure to the cam belt tensioner assembly I mentioned earlier.

VIN number JZA80-0013255

Thanks :) It's a 6 speed manual TT, Jap spec.

Im running mine on vista paul.

You need a program like winRAR to extract the files and then copy the region files to disc then upload them into the epc.

You can either run them via disc or upload them on the hard drive so you dont have to keep booting them from the discs

Usualy come with a tuturial on the download mate

Has anyone got a copy of the EPC I can download somewhere?

I have a copy of Nic's full EPC here if you need. It's about 3.5gb so too large to host, but can post a DVD if you don't find an online copy.

Works fine on XP and Windows 7, not tried it on Vista.

Could it be that there is a modified part which is a substitution for the earlier part number? Sometimes the EPC shows both part numbers with SUBS next to the later one.

yes, it can be a supplier changed, modified part etc etc

but should not matter what PN of those 2 PN you order as the are linked to eachother ,

example you order PN 001 , but you will receive 002

Btw my EPC is 16,4GB on my HDD :) this is the new version EPC from 2008
