Guest daz 6576
how much is a new loom for the coilpacks on a j-spec tt cheers daz
DSK
Is it the actual loom you need or have the coil pack connector clips disintegrated? If you just need new connector clips, get them from Paul Whiffin @ GarageWhifbitz. If you need a new loom then may be worth contacting Keron to see if he has any removed from a breaker. pistonbroke
Check the ignitor pack, have you jump started the car recently?
Guest daz 6576
the car has been jump started before but not recently if that helps could the ignitor pack if not working properly knock out the power to 2 coilpacks. (are they in 2's is what i mean)
pistonbroke
Right, so you've eliminated the coil packs by swapping them over I take it? You're missing a spark (or it's weak in consistently the same area), check your coil pack clips have a good connection, you might have to press the connecting pinch point closer on them specific clips. It's in IanC's post about replacing the clips.
Scott
Sounds like coil pack clips. You can get a full set for less than £30 posted. Always good to do this every couple of years IMO.
TLicense
The loom itself was about £1300 new and the last time I spoke to Steve Manley about it, was discontinued. on both counts!
