Neil-NA
I have a set of Volk AV3 rims with slightly corroded lips, so far i have tried using autosol, brasso and Autoglym to polish them up a bit. They have got the lips to an alright state, just wondering if there is anything else i should try? I have a full polishing kit but i am a bit reluctant to try this just yet. Megs NXT waz is being used to stop the corrosion.
ilicos
Poorboys is the best sealant IMO. Other than that, elbow grease and a mild compound should work.
Stonkin
ideally would need to see pics of what your trying to work with, but for wheels i would recommend Bilberry wheel cleaner for getting the initial muck off. This stuff is great and can be diluted to various strengths depending on the wheel condition and is also totally safe on all types of wheels, unlike wonder wheels etc! You may find claying the wheels will produce good results at removing tar/rubber and baked on brake dust. With regard to polishing, it depends what your trying to fix, if they are very corroded you will struggle without properly refurbishing them. Autoglym SRP is very good at bringing alloys back to life, as is Meguiars NXT all metal polish. After all your hard work get a good 2-3 coats of Poorboys wheel sealant or FK1000P on to seal them. After this all you will need to do is jetwash them and the dirt will fall off
